Airosmith Development is seeking an experienced Outside Plant (OSP) Engineer/Designer position with mid-to-senior-level experience in fiber network engineering and design. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing large to mid-scale fiber optic networks, processing service orders for engineering and construction, and working with Bentley MicroStation V8i. This position is pivotal in supporting our clients' infrastructure expansion and modernization efforts.

Responsibilities, include (but are not limited to):

  • Design and engineer outside plant fiber optic networks for residential, commercial, and municipal deployments.
  • Create detailed construction drawings, fiber routing plans, and splice diagrams using Bentley MicroStation V8i.
  • Interpret service orders and translate them into actionable engineering deliverables.
  • Conduct field surveys and validate existing infrastructure for integration into new designs.
  • Maintain documentation and records in accordance with company and client standards.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years OSP fiber network engineering and design experience.
  • Proficient in Bentley MicroStation V8i, MS Office 365, Adobe Acrobat, and Google Earth required.
  • Strong understanding of fiber optic technologies, construction methods, and industry standards (e.g., RUS, BICSI, NESC).
  • Experience processing service orders and generating engineering packages for construction.
  • Familiarity with GIS platforms, CAD tools, and fiber management systems is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Land Use, Urban Planning, GIS or related field preferred; or
  • Associates Degree in Computer Aided Design required.
