Hyperion Behavioral Health Center specializes in the diagnosis and support of children, adolescents, and adults with autism spectrum disorder. We provide evidence-based interventions in order to decrease challenging behavior and strengthen language, social skills, and self-management. WHO YOU ARE

Qualifications (Required)

• Experience and passion for working with children and/or teens
• Positive & effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills
• BA or current student in psychology, child development, education or related field
• Ability to work at least 12 hours per week during peak session times of 3:00-6:00
• Willingness & ability to commute to clients' homes within specified geographic region
• Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable auto transportation
• Ability to pass TB test and DOJ background check

Qualifications (Preferred)

• Experience with children with autism
• Experience with children with speech delays
• Experience with children with challenging behavior
• Experience with Zoom or similar digital platforms
• Comfortable with current technology, tablet use, practice management software
• Coursework in ABA
• Applied Behavior Analysis Technician (ABAT) or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct applied behavior analysis (ABA) intervention to children with autism and related disorders in home and/or school setting
• Utilize ABA to teach communication skills, social skills, play skills, and adaptive skills
• Implement behavior intervention plans
• Follow teaching protocols and data collection methods
• Participate in clinical meetings to discuss client progress
• Provide support and education to families
• Behavior therapists are supervised by a board certified behavior analyst (BCBA)
