You will play a key role in maintaining and preserving the internal and external structure of the building deteriorated by users wear and tear influenced by weathering elements. About Freehand Los Angeles
Housed in the historic Commercial Exchange building, our hotel in downtown Los Angeles is truly one-of-a-kind, featuring suites, premium hotel rooms and shared accommodations with interiors designed by Roman & Williams. The property is a new and exciting presence in the downtown LA scene, offering the classic Freehand accommodation experience for guests, while also fully integrating into the local community with a calendar full of events and activations at the Broken Shaker rooftop bar and pool, Rudolph's Bar & Tea bar, The Exchange Restaurant, and Cafe Integral. Situated in walking distance to local restaurants, bars, markets and hotspots, Freehand Los Angeles has a real buzz that makes it a pleasure to stay (and work) at.

NUTS AND BOLTS OF THE JOB

• Maintain the overall appearance of the building; replacing broken lamps, bedroom fixtures & fittings, carrying out general repairs & maintaining high standards to decor & paintwork etc. throughout the building
• Perform preventive maintenance throughout all areas of the premise, including both front and back of house and rooms, interior and exterior
• To ensure that all tasks relating to guest comfort, guest satisfaction or the impression the guest receives of the hotel must be treated with utmost priority
• Maintain all safety and asset register records at all times
• Take responsibility for all equipment onsite ensuring that it is maintained and ready for use at all times
• Have a comprehensive knowledge of, and ensure that you comply with all statutory local legislation and regulation, in particular, H&S, building regulations and Fire Safety
• Ensure that our social spaces embody the Generator brand and culture
• To maintain a good working relationship with your colleagues creating a team that works well together and with other departments

Your Rock Star Experience

• Proven experience in a similar role
• Solid understanding of technical aspects of plumbing, carpentry, electrical systems etc.
• Working knowledge of facilities machines and equipment
