Oracle Database Administrator

Trissential is hiring a Oracle Database Administrator to join our client's OT DBA team in Minneapolis. Your Role & Responsibilities

• Administer Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MariaDB environments with a focus on performance, reliability, and security
• Handle database backup and recovery, patching, builds, and performance tuning
• Participate in a 7-day on-call rotation every 4 weeks
• Monitor alerts, fulfill ServiceNow requests, and proactively resolve tickets
• Collaborate with internal teams to support application upgrades and critical infrastructure projects
• Develop and maintain scripts using KornShell, PowerShell, and PL/SQL to automate routine tasks
• Support business continuity and disaster recovery efforts across regulated platforms

Skills & Experience You Should Possess

• 5+ years hands-on DBA experience in Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MariaDB
• Expertise in performance tuning, backup and recovery, patch management
• Experience with KornShell (Unix/Linux) and PowerShell (Windows) scripting
• Strong communicator and effective collaborator across technical and non-technical teams
• Familiarity with ServiceNow and ITSM practices

Bonus Points If You Have:

• Experience in SCADA or utility environments
• Exposure to SSIS development, Oracle ASM, RAC, and Data Guard
• Knowledge of AlwaysOn, log shipping, database replication, and clustering
• Skills in BI, reporting solutions, data visualization, and predictive modeling
• Microsoft or Oracle certifications (e.g., OCP)

Education & Certifications You Need:

• Bachelor's degree in Technology, Science, Business or a related field, OR 8 years of equivalent experience
• Certifications in Oracle or Microsoft technologies are preferred
