Tractor Operator

Position Overview
Tractor Operators at Andrade's Clean Up play a vital role in executing on-site cleanup, and debris management operations. This position is responsible for safely operating tractors (Bobcat) and related heavy equipment to support environmental remediation, site cleaning, and post-project restoration activities.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Debris Removal Operations:
- Safely mobilize, operate, and maintain a skid steer loader using various attachments (buckets, grapples) to execute timely and precise debris handling.
Precision Loading:
- Execute controlled, smooth movements to ensure the safe and efficient loading of commercial roll-off containers, dumpsters, and trailers, strictly avoiding spillage.
Safety & Compliance Mandate:
- Maintain a clean, hazard-free work area as work progresses, strictly adhering to all OSHA standards/regulations to mitigate site risks and company liability.
Equipment Stewardship:
- Perform and accurately document a mandatory daily pre-operation inspection (checking ROPS/FOPS integrity, restraint systems, fluids, and controls). Immediately tag out any equipment with safety defects.
• Conduct routine cleaning and basic maintenance of the skid steer and its attachments, including checking and replenishing lubricants—especially for critical components such as the fork rotator.
• Ensure all equipment remains in safe, operable condition throughout the workday.
Field Crew Integration:
- Collaborate closely with the Site Supervisor and crew, providing hands-on manual assistance with debris sorting, material handling, and general site preparation.
Digital Reporting:
- Utilize company-provided technology (smartphone apps) to accurately complete daily activity logs, material movement documentation, and upload compliance photos for invoicing and record-keeping.
Minimum Required Qualifications
- Certification: Current, valid OSHA-compliant Certificate of Completion demonstrating qualification to operate skid steer equipment (or willingness to obtain immediately).
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of professional, hands-on experience operating a skid steer loader in a construction environment.
• Licensing: Valid Driver's License and an insurable driving record.
• Physical Capacity: Must be physically able to frequently lift and carry objects weighing 50 to 90 lbs without assistance.
Highly Preferred Qualifications
- Commercial Driver's License (CDL): Possession of a Class A or Class B CDL is highly advantageous, as it allows the operator to transport heavy equipment and haul large roll-off containers, increasing your value to the company.
Work Environment & Schedule
- The role requires working in all types of weather conditions on active construction sites, exposed to noise, dust, and debris.
• Flexible hours are required, which often include overtime (up to 55 hours per week) and occasional weekend work depending on project schedules.
