PickUp USA Fitness is currently hiring for a Facility Maintenance Technician that will perform various duties at our fast-growing fitness club.

Job Summary

As our Maintenance Technician, you set the foundation to our Service Promise of ensuring a clean, friendly, and well-maintained club. Your daily focus is to ensure proper conditioning of all club areas and equipment, which ensures a clean, safe, and outstanding experience for our members.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum floor of all areas of club, including basketball courts, locker rooms, weight area, lounge, cardio, office space, hallways, etc.
• Clean and dust all basketball, weight, and cardio equipment
• Restock supplies
• Empty clubs' garbage and recycling containers
• Clean and dust walls, mirrors, countertops, glass, and windows
• Complete daily and weekly cleaning checklist
• Perform special cleaning projects as assigned
• Perform assigned cleaning tasks during the day
• Adhere to all safety rules
• Use all maintenance supplies in accordance to product labels and club manuals
• Adhere to authorized dress code
• Attend all required training sessions and meetings
• Report all facility maintenance issues to Manager
• Report any member complaints to Manager
• Knowledge of brand standards policies and procedures

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Cleaning practices and procedures
• Understand and follow written instructions
• Effectively communicate (verbal and writing skills) in English and/or Spanish
• Work independently in the absence of supervision
• Attention to detail
• Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of duties

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED
• 6 months of Maintenance Technicianial related experience

Physical Demands/Environmental Conditions

• While performing duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands and arms
• Frequently required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Regularly required to lift up to 25 pounds. Occasionally required to lift up to 100 pounds
• Required usage of cleaning chemicals, ladders, and cleaning utensils
• Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts
• Noise level in the environment is occasionally loud

Job Type

• Part-time

Hours

• Saturday 6am-8:30am
• Sunday 6am-8:30am
• Opportunities for more weekday shifts

Compensation

• Starting at $17/hr-$19/hr based on attendance and performance
• Potential for discretionary bonuses based on performance
• Direct deposit twice per month
