Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Service Writer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive service and repair, coupled with exceptional customer service skills. As a Service Writer, you will act as the liaison between our customers and the service department, ensuring that all service needs are accurately communicated and addressed. Your expertise in automotive diagnostics and repair will be crucial in providing customers with the best possible solutions for their vehicle maintenance needs.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers and assess their vehicle service needs.
  • Accurately document customer concerns and vehicle issues for the service technicians.
  • Provide detailed estimates for repairs and services, including parts and labor.
  • Upsell additional services based on customer needs and vehicle condition.
  • Coordinate with service technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs.
  • Maintain clear communication with customers regarding the status of their vehicles.
  • Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records of services performed.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing any concerns or questions promptly.

Skills

  • Dealership experience is preferred, with a strong understanding of automotive service processes.
  • Proficient in auto service management and service writing techniques.
  • Experience in upselling services to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales.
  • Knowledge of automotive diagnostics, mechanical systems, and vehicle maintenance practices.
  • Familiarity with various automotive repairs including transmissions, oil changes, brake repair, alignment, suspension, tire service, diesel engine repair, shocks & struts, and air brake systems.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
  • Experience in auto estimating and sales within an automotive context is beneficial.

Pay: $58, $70,632.09 per year
