FULL TIME Medical Assistant is needed for a small and busy medical sub specialty Gastroenterology office as floater (front and back office work) with prior experience in Prior Authorizations, Medical Records and should have prior working knowledge in EMR systems. Epic is preferred.

Medical Assistant will be cross trained in clinical duties as back up to the main clinical certified medical assistant. This is an ideal position for anyone looking to progress or acquire certifications like CMA or RMA or similar certifications.

Full time medical assistant will work 36 hours a week, 8 AM to 5 PM (with an hour lunch at noon) on Mondays-Thursdays and on Fridays 8 AM - 12 PM.

The practice has 1 full time physician and 1 part time physician assistant. All work is streamlined among our current staff and is a pleasant work environment. We need someone who can work efficiently in our team and able to carry their work load.

There is a heavy and rich 401k retirement package with regular eligibility requirements. After a training period, PTO is available along with 8 national paid holidays. PTO days increase with years of service.

Instead of health care benefits, a monthly stipend is provided after the training period.

Drug and employment screening will be part of the hire process for this job opening.

Compensation package is dependent on applicant's years of relevant work and EMR experience along with certifications.
