Customer Service Representative – Join Our Family-Owned Team

Job Overview:

As part of our team, your role as a Customer Service Representative is essential to ensuring that our customers receive excellent service and that our office runs smoothly. You are the first point of contact for our customers, and your responsibilities include both assisting customers with their inquiries and maintaining a clean and organized office environment. This position requires attention to detail, a positive attitude, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities:

  • Answer customer calls in a professional and timely manner.
  • Assist customers in person by calculating fees through our automated system, collecting required documents (such as proof of vehicle ownership), and processing payments.
  • Provide exceptional service using clear communication and phone etiquette.
  • Locate towed vehicles in the impound yard and retrieve registration information for customers.
  • Maintain and organize physical and digital files to support team efficiency.
  • Accurately file customer documents and update records in our system.
  • Support data entry needs for reports, billing, and internal documentation.
  • Perform light cleaning and contribute to a tidy, welcoming office environment.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (bilingual in Spanish is a plus).
  • Strong listening skills with the ability to understand and empathize with customers.
  • Proactive problem-solving and professionalism in handling customer concerns.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable using computers, software systems, and office equipment (training provided).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

  • This role requires walking through a vehicle impound yard. Are you comfortable working both indoors and outdoors as needed? (Safety Vests Provided per OSHA requirements)
  • Are you comfortable collecting payments and handling cash or credit card transactions?
  • Do you have any experience working in a fast-paced environment where multitasking is required? (Example, answering phones, data entry, and assisting customers in person)
  • Do you have experience using a computer system for data entry or customer management?
  • This job occasionally involves dealing with upset or argumentative customers. Are you comfortable staying calm and professional in confrontational situations?
  • What is your desired pay rate or hourly range? (Numeric Answer / Hourly)
  • Are you available to work flexible hours, including weekends or evenings if needed? (Or to be On-Call?)

Experience:

  • Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • Driver's License (Required)
