Description:Lockheed Martin Aeronautics in seeking a full-time Subsystem Installation Design Engineer for the Advanced Development Programs (ADP) in Fort Worth, Texas. A successful candidate will apply technical expertise in developing solutions to aircraft equipment and systems installation design problems. Responsibilities for this position may include:

  • Design the installation of aircraft Equipment for Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) and associated hardware; Design aircraft tubes and harness assemblies for Fuel, Hydraulic, Environmental Control Systems, and Electrical Systems; Design installation of aircraft Fluid and Electrical routing and associated bracketry

  • Conduct trade studies and evaluate alternatives - optimizing form, fit, and function of the equipment installations

  • Define, develop, and finalize equipment layouts and systems and harness interfaces

  • Create Build-to-Packages for detailed parts, assemblies, and installations
  • Coordinate with other technical disciplines for optimized integration at the aircraft level (producibility, maintainability, tooling, interchangeability, materials & processes, stress, etc.)

The successful candidate will have experience with CATIA, SolidWorks, or other CAD applications. Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering technical discipline such as Mechanical, Aeronautical, or Aerospace Engineering
  • Experience with 3DX, CATIA, Solidworks, or equivalent 3-D Computer Aided Design (CAD) tool
  • Experience creating and/or modifying drawings

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with aircraft equipment installation design and troubleshooting
  • Experience with aircraft fluid or electrical installation design and troubleshooting
  • Experience with 3DX or CATIA V5
  • Experience with metallic design
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
