Environmental Practice Leader – Energy & Infrastructure Consulting (California)

A leading engineering and construction consulting firm is seeking a dynamic and experienced
Environmental Practice Leader
to lead its environmental consulting operations across California. This executive-level role is central to driving growth, innovation, and strategic direction within the firm's rapidly expanding
energy and infrastructure sector
, with a strong emphasis on environmental services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and grow the
    environmental practice
    in California, managing a multidisciplinary team of 30–35 professionals.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to expand the firm's footprint in
    energy and infrastructure consulting
    , including T&D, mission-critical, water, and manufacturing sectors.
  • Drive business development efforts, leveraging a strong network to win new work and strengthen client relationships.
  • Partner with senior leadership to define and execute the environmental group's vision and long-term growth strategy.
  • Ensure excellence in project delivery, technical quality, and regulatory compliance across all environmental consulting services.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven leadership experience overseeing
    environmental or technical teams
    within the AEC consulting industry.
  • Strong track record in
    business development
    , with success in securing and managing environmental consulting projects for energy and infrastructure clients.
  • Established relationships in sectors such as T&D, water, manufacturing, or mission-critical facilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to scale and lead a high-performing practice in a competitive consulting market.
  • Strategic, results-oriented, and confident in taking full ownership of practice operations.
