The Grand Rapids site produces Cardiac Surgery devices distributed worldwide. As a Senior Project Manager, you will oversee projects of varying scales aimed at sustaining and enhancing existing products or driving operations and process development for new products. Your responsibilities will include managing project timelines, budgets, and scopes for both sustaining business initiatives and process development efforts tied to new product launches.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
Plan, perform and implement process improvement initiatives (such as Lean or Six Sigma).
Diagram and evaluate existing processes.
Organize, lead and facilitate cross-functional project teams.
Develop metrics that provide data for process measurement, identifying indicators for future improvement opportunities.
Collect data to identify root cause of problems.
Measure performance against process requirements.
Align improvement to performance shortfalls.
Provide consultation on the use of re-engineering techniques to improve process performance and product quality.
May deliver presentations and training courses including measurement, analysis, improvement and control.
Survey and analyze best practices for techniques and processes.
Communicates team progress.
Perform cost and benefit analyses.
This role is onsite 5 days a week at our Grand Rapids, MI site.
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this role, please ensure the minimum requirements are evident in your applicant profile.
Requires a Bachelors degree and minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with 2 years of experience.
Nice to Have
Bachelor's/Advanced Degree in Science, Engineering, Project Management or Business Administration
Requires prior experience managing projects in a manufacturing environment
Prior experience managing projects in a pharmaceutical, medical device, combination products, or other regulated industry
Effective planning and organization skills including the proven ability to work against multiple objectives simultaneously
Excellent knowledge of systems including Outlook, PowerPoint, MS Project, and Autocad
Experience translating communicated ideas into robust project plans
Ability to establish and maintain a trusted role with the various stakeholders in coordinating multiple functions across the organization
