PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Perform production support functions. Meet the daily production support requirements deadline by efficiently moving materials, assist with sorting recyclables while maintaining pick up deadlines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for reading, understanding and following work instructions pertaining to the tasks of moving materials.
Perform in a cross-functional environment, coordinating with other departments such Quality, Warehouse, and Materials.
Safely operate forklift to load and unload materials.
Move materials to appropriate locations.
Ensure proper handling and storage of recyclable materials.
Assist with bailing materials for recycling processing.
Ensure accurate inventory management.
Communicate professionally via email with Program Manager, Department Manager, Supervisor and customer contacts regarding the status of parts and shipments.
Actively seek ways to improve processes.
Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Other duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Prior experience in a warehouse or shipping environment.
Forklift driver is required.
Good email communication skills.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Computer literate in a Windows Environment; Outlook, Excel.
Basic math skills.
Accurate counting skills.
Legible handwriting.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Detail oriented.
Good organizational skills.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Must be self-motivated and possess initiative.
Flexible; able to change direction with short notice.
Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Able to complete projects under tight deadlines.
Able to perform repetitive motion with hands and arms.
Qualified to become certified on a forklift.
Able to quickly resolve or escalate problems that arise.
Effective communicator in the English language, both orally and written, as the position requires email communication with customers.

Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
Able to stand, stoop and bend.
Ability to walk and stand on cement floors for long periods.
Able to operate a pallet jack.
Able to work in an environment that is not climate controlled.
