Educational Account Specialist
The Educational Account Specialist is an entry- to mid-level customer success and revenue driving role responsible for managing and growing smaller accounts within an assigned territory. This role focuses on renewals, expansion within existing schools, and developing new opportunities with lower-enrollment accounts.
The ideal candidate is proactive, customer-focused, and motivated by measurable success. You will build relationships with educators and administrators, ensure customer satisfaction, and contribute to overall territory growth through consistent outreach and engagement.
What You'll Be Doing
- Managing a defined territory of small to mid-sized schools and districts, driving renewals, upsells, and cross-sells within existing accounts while also securing net-new schools and districts.
- Serving as the primary point of contact for key accounts, building strong and trusted partnerships, and ensuring customer success.
- Conducting high volume of daily, weekly, and monthly outreach and engagement (calls, emails, meetings, demos, key customer engagement meetings, etc.) to maintain a healthy pipeline and achieve growth goals.
- Deliver virtual presentations and product demonstrations that clearly communicate value to educators and administrators.
- Understanding customer goals to ensure value realization and identify opportunities for expansion and retention.
- Recognizing and addressing churn risks by creating proactive engagement strategies to re-engage at risk accounts.
- Identifying and pursuing whitespace opportunities and developing strategies to penetrate new accounts.
- Building and maintaining a balanced pipeline across existing customers and whitespace opportunities.
- Leveraging sales tools and CRM (Salesforce) to manage pipeline, track activities, and report progress against goals.
- Meeting and exceeding assigned metrics for outreach, pipeline health, and closed revenue.
- Collaborating with Sales, Marketing, and Product teams to share customer feedback insights and align territory growth strategies.
- Developing a mastery of LWT programs and solutions to effectively position value to customers.
Your Experience & Qualifications
- B.A. or B.S. in education, business, related field or relevant work experience required.
- 2-5 years of sales or customer success experience, preferably in education, curriculum, or SaaS/edtech.
- Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding revenue goals and managing a defined territory.
- Experience managing a territory that includes both customer accounts and new business development.
- Strong skills in prospecting, whitespace penetration, pipeline management, and closing opportunities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with confidence engaging school and district leaders.
- Organized, self-motivated, and accountable to daily and weekly activity goals.
- Proficiency with CRM tools and virtual meeting platforms; Salesforce experience preferred.
- Passion for education and helping schools improve student outcomes.
- Ability to travel occasionally (approx. 2+ trips per year).
