Brightside Living is a 24-hour residential group home agency, providing residential services to adults with developmental disabilities in the Eugene area.
Our model is based on mentoring and advocating while providing 24 hour support. Clients are given the independence to grow and explore their wants and needs, while maintaining a healthy, safe and structured lifestyle. Brightside Living provides continuity of care for all residents by listening and learning from them to create a more fulfilling future.
Current positions:
*We have 4 group homes located in Eugene, Oregon. Homes are licensed for up to 3 individuals, staff will work with no more than 3 residents at one time.
* Hiring one (1) Residential Program Manager for one (1) home
and/or (1) Assistant Program Manager for one (1) home
The Program Manager is responsible for providing leadership and structure which supports staff in providing appropriate care for persons with developmental disabilities, to guide and assist them in their development, and to effectively manage the normal activities associated with home and community life. Providing direction to the Assistant Program Manager delegating and ensuring residents financials, medical and overall needs are met as well as managing staff roles and shift coverage. The Program Manager assures the proper development and implementation of the Individual Support Plan of each resident. Ensures Behavior Support Plan is being met and makes changes as necessary to plans. The Program Manager is in coordination with the Registered Nurse Delegate, trains and models the skills and personal characteristics necessary for working with, caring for, and winning the respect of persons with developmental disabilities. The Program Manager assures compliance with the OAR's related to 24- hour adult residential agencies, and works with the county Service Coordinators to assures accuracy of all documents and plans
The Program Manager coordinates and directs an overall management and operation of the residential program, to ensure that the quality of life is met by keeping up with Brightside Living's philosophy, values, policies and procedures. They are responsible for providing leadership and structure which supports staff in providing appropriate care for persons with developmental disabilities, to guide and assist them in their development, and to effectively manage the normal activities associated with home and community life.
Assistant Managers assist the implementation and coordination of Program Management
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
¥ Schedule and attend all individuals' medical, dental, psychiatric and any other necessary appointments.
¥ Complete documentation of appointment and distribute as appropriate to other providers (County, day programs, and family/guardians).
¥ Monitor scheduling of staff across the program to ensure economy and program coverage.
¥ Audit individual financial records on a regular basis.
¥ Complete monthly business financial reports (petty cash, activities, groceries, gas).
¥ Assist with the supervision of staff and attend all staff meetings as deemed necessary by the Program Manager.
¥ Maintain current medication treatment charts (MAR)
¥ Ensure accuracy of medications following Medication Administration Program procedures.
¥ Maintain current Doctor's orders.
¥ Ensure Med Reviews are completed on a timely manner.
¥ Provide guidance to individuals in Self-Advocacy, decision-making and empowerment.
¥ Prove any necessary training to staff
¥ Assist Program Directors in interviewing, hiring, and terminating staff as needed.
¥ Assist in ensuring all staff are oriented with program/agency rules, regulations and requirements
¥ Ensure that client health and safety is maintained.
¥ Perform the duties of Manager in his/her absence.
¥ Provide (as necessary) active involvement in all daily group and individual areas including but not limited to: community integration, training, hygiene, leisure, communication, mobility, behavior, personal care, feeding/food prep, medication, supervision of transportation, coordination of schedules and supervision for client activities.
¥ Promote a safe, clean and orderly environment and report unsafe conditions immediately. Demonstrate appropriate behavior management techniques; ensure ISP's, protocols, safety plans are being followed. Immediately report to Program Manager, Doctor, ect of any medical concerns or injuries.
¥ Assist with the planning, coordinating, training, motivating, monitoring and evaluating performance of employees.
¥ Assist with the completing and review, all evaluation/assessment reports, progress reports, case notes, incident reports, contacts, reviews, attendance and other supporting documentation, in a timely and accurate manner. Ensure all programs and documentation are in compliance with any and all regulatory agencies.
Requirements:
¥ Must be able to work flexible hours to meet individual's and program's needs.
¥ Must have a valid driver's license, good driving record, and access to a reliable vehicle to attend trainings, meetings, and/or transport individual to appointments.
¥ Must be able to travel to trainings/meetings upon request of Program Manager and/or Program Director.
¥ Be available to on-call to meet program as needed.
¥ The ability to lift up to 50lbs.
¥ Be on your feet for a long period of time.
¥ Stay professional at all times.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Preferred: Minimum of one (1) years education and/or experience in developmental/intellectual disabilities, mental illness, emotional/behavioral difficulties or other related conditions.
Must possess the skills necessary to provide therapeutic interventions with individuals with disorders and to understand treatment terminology.
* Management experience recommended or substantial experience within the field
* Must have had driver's license for a minimum of FIVE (5 years)
*Experience writing and implementing Oregon ISP
Positions are 8am-4:30/5pm Monday-Friday and 10am-6pm M-F: Must be able to flex hours to cover shifts/ be on call if there is a need.REQUIRED:
At least 6 months DSP/ caregiving/ directly related experience.
Experience writing and implements Oregon ISP.
Assistant starting: $ /hr starting
Program Manager $20-23/hr starting
120 day probation period and raise
