Position Title: Network Engineer II
Position Overview
S2Technologies
is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst / Event Staff to join our team supporting the Nation Cyber Range Complex (NCRC) Operational Readiness and Live System Support (ORLSS) program in Orlando, FL. This position provides technical expertise in system deployment, cybersecurity, and event operations in both classified and unclassified environments. The successful candidate will support secure system integration, troubleshooting, and mission execution to ensure operational readiness of critical government systems.

Responsibilities

  • Support system deployments, including design, configuration, and integration.
  • Monitor system performance, availability, and utilization; conduct trending and capacity planning.
  • Troubleshoot networking components (routing, switching, VPN) and resolve interoperability issues.
  • Provide direct technical support to users during integrations and live events.
  • Configure and maintain internal and customer-provided tools within mixed environments.
  • Support hardware/software acquisition and system upgrades.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation, reports, and briefings.
  • Ensure compliance with configuration and change management policies.

Required Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant IT, cybersecurity, or systems administration experience.
  • Proficiency in systems administration and IT concepts.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in mission-critical environments.
  • Strong communication and technical writing skills.

Preferred Qualifications And Skills

  • Experience with VMware (vSphere), routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
  • Familiarity with DoD cybersecurity tools (e.g., Kali Linux, Security Onion).
  • Prior experience supporting DoD or military contractor programs.
  • CCNA, VMware Certified Professional, or Microsoft Solutions certification.

Required Security Clearance

  • Active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.

Required Certification(s)

  • CompTIA Security+ (DoD 8570 IAT Level II compliant.

Required Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related technical field.

Additional Information

  • This is a full-time, primarily on-site role at the NCRC-ORL facility in Orlando, FL.
  • Occasional travel may be required to support events at other NCRC facilities.
  • Flexible work hours, including after-hours event support, may be necessary.
  • Position involves access to classified environments and handling of IT/network equipment.

Salary Range:
$120,000 - $132,000
