We're hiring an experienced Fabricator for a heavy civil and foundation-drilling contractor in North Tampa. This role fabricates and repairs augers, buckets, and heavy steel assemblies used in deep foundation work. Must read blueprints, perform layout and fitting, and weld confidently (MIG, Flux-Core, Stick). Competitive pay, steady workload, and long-term stability for serious tradesmen.

About the Role:

Strategic Partner Solutions is hiring an experienced Fabricator to support a heavy civil and foundation-drilling contractor.

This is a hands-on, shop-based position located in the Land O' Lakes area (North Tampa).

You'll work on structural steel fabrication, building and repairing augers, drill tooling, and heavy equipment components that keep major foundation projects moving.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fabricate and repair augers, drill tooling, buckets, and heavy foundation components.
  • Perform layout, cutting, fitting, and assembly from blueprints or verbal instructions.
  • Operate torches, plasma cutters, grinders, press brakes, and welders.
  • Perform MIG, Flux-Core, and Stick welding as part of daily fabrication.
  • Inspect and fit assemblies to ensure accuracy and structural integrity.
  • Collaborate with mechanics and field teams for on-demand modifications and repairs.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of fabrication experience in heavy civil, industrial, or heavy equipment environments.
  • Proficient in MIG / Flux-Core / Stick welding (TIG a plus).
  • Able to read blueprints and perform layout/fitting independently.
  • Experience fabricating or repairing drill tooling, augers, or large steel assemblies.
  • Familiar with rigging and safe handling of heavy materials.
  • Reliable, safety-minded, and able to work independently.
