Position Overview

The Blue Couch is actively seeking a competent, motivated, and compassionate Mental Health Therapist to join our Sioux Falls, SD office. This is a full-time position with the opportunity to work in a supportive, collaborative environment that encourages professional growth and autonomy.

The ideal candidate has experience providing outpatient mental health therapy to children, teens, and/or adults and is passionate about helping clients heal, grow, and thrive.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual, family, and/or play therapy to clients in an outpatient setting
  • Develop treatment plans and maintain accurate clinical documentation
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of therapists and support staff
  • Participate in case consultation, team meetings, and continuing education opportunities
  • Uphold ethical standards and align with The Blue Couch's mission of compassionate care

Qualifications

  • Master's degree or higher in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, or related field
  • Active or eligible South Dakota license (LPC, LPC-MH, LMFT, LCSW, or LICSW)
  • Experience working with children, adolescents, and/or families preferred
  • Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
  • A compassionate, team-oriented approach
