Seeking Licensed Master's or Doctoral Level Psychologist
Position Description: Kimel Psychological Services (KPS) is growing We are a specialized practice providing comprehensive services for children, teens, and young adults with developmental disabilities, learning differences, ADHD, giftedness, twice-exceptional profiles, and mood disorders. This role allows clinicians to focus on direct clinical care while KPS handles administrative tasks, including billing, insurance claims, and coverage verification.
We are seeking a full-time Colorado-licensed Master's Level Psychotherapist (LMFT, LPC, LCSW) or Doctoral-Level Psychologist (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) to join our team, offering in-person and telehealth therapy in Denver, Colorado. The position focuses on working with children and young adults with autism, developmental disabilities, ADHD, learning differences, giftedness, and comorbid anxiety or mood disorders.
The ideal candidate is passionate about supporting neurodiverse clients, particularly autistic individuals, and skilled in empirically supported therapeutic methods such as CBT, DBT, ACT, and family systems approaches. Candidates should value collaboration within a supportive group practice and be ready to join our strong referral-based caseload immediately.
A Little About Us: KPS is a small, minority- and woman-owned mental health practice dedicated to patient-centered care. We specialize in developmental disabilities and learning disorders, providing empirically supported, culturally sensitive psychotherapy and evaluations. Our services span from early childhood through adulthood and include assessments for cognitive and academic functioning, attention disorders, emotional health, head injury, fetal substance exposure, and autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Serving the Denver Metro and surrounding areas, we are committed to cultural competency and to supporting patients of all backgrounds, genders, and sexual orientations. About the job:
- We are seeking full-time therapist to provide individual and family counseling to the populations we serve.
- Support clients and families through therapy, assessing clinical needs and delivering flexible, evidence-based interventions
- Collaborate with clients' care teams, including schools and other professionals, to ensure coordinated support
- Provide culturally sensitive individual and family therapy, with client age range based on clinician expertise and preference
- Co-lead weekly social skills, DBT, or anxiety treatment groups (optional based on interest)
- Opportunity to supervise trainees, depending on experience and interest
- Participate in weekly group consultation with colleagues
- Promote awareness of developmental disabilities through training, outreach, and community engagement
Required Qualifications:
- Licensed in the state of Colorado with DORA with a degree in clinical or counseling psychology, clinical psychology, social work- Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a therapist in Colorado.
- Masters or Doctoral degree from an accredited graduate program or university
- Eligible for credentialing with Medicaid, Medicare, and/or commercial insurance.

- Genuine passion for working with children, adults, and families affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder, other developmental disabilities, ADHD, learning differences, giftedness, and co-occurring anxiety or mood disorders
- Commitment to ongoing learning, training, and professional development in developmental disabilities and evidence-based treatments
- Systems-based approach: ability to collaborate with schools, families, and other professionals for optimal client care
- Strong interpersonal skills, including assertive communication, relationship-building, and teamwork with colleagues and clients
- Excellent written and oral communication; proficiency with electronic health records and clinical documentation
- Commitment to serving diverse populations, including multilingual, multicultural, LGBTQIA+, and Twice-Exceptional/Gifted clients
- Knowledge of family systems and applying varied interventions within a systemic framework
- Independent, organized, and able to manage time effectively while maintaining clinical integrity and ethics
- Ability to accept and incorporate feedback, recognize professional limitations, and consult when needed
- Dependable, responsive, grounded, with a sense of humor and ability to maintain self-care
- Familiarity with APA ethical guidelines and professional standards; capable of practicing independently without mandated supervision
- Lifelong learner: motivated to pursue continuing education and develop expertise in developmental disabilities
