Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Home Health, to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide therapeutic services to patients in an outpatient settings. This role is essential in helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals, improve their daily living skills, and enhance their overall quality of life.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans as directed by the Occupational Therapist.
  • Provide direct patient care, focusing on activities of daily living (ADLs) to promote independence.
  • Document patient progress and responses to interventions accurately and timely.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Educate patients and their families about treatment plans and home exercise programs.
  • Maintain a clean and organized therapy environment, ensuring all equipment is safe and functional.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to care plan discussions.

Requirements

  • Hold an active OTA license
  • Experience in Pediatrics
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and basic physiology related to occupational therapy.
  • Ability to develop and implement effective care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with patients and team members.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality patient-centered care.
