Job Description:

Brandy's Cleaning Service, LLC is seeking a dedicated and reliable Full-Time Cleaning Crew Member to join our growing team. This position is responsible for providing high-quality residential and commercial cleaning services to our clients in Garden City, Kansas, and surrounding areas. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, dependable, and committed to exceeding client expectations.

PURPOSE OF POSITION: Provide maximum service to clients & businesses by providing detailed and efficient cleaning.

Essential Functions:

Residential Homes:

  • Sweep, mop & vacuum floors
  • Dust surfaces including but not limited to ceiling fans, blinds & furniture
  • Clean bathrooms; clean inside & outside of toilets, clean sinks & countertops, scrub & clean bathtubs & showers, clean mirrors
  • Gather & take out garbage
  • Clean kitchens; wipe countertops, clean inside & outside of microwave, clean outside of stoves & ovens, wipe cabinets when dirty, scrub surfaces to remove stains or build-up
  • Wash & fold laundry as requested
  • Disinfect surfaces
  • Notify management of deficiencies or repairs required

Commercial Buildings:

  • Clean & stock kitchens & restrooms
  • Dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping
  • Cleaning windows & doors
  • Notify management of deficiencies or repairs required

MINIMUM JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

  • EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Required:
  • Strong communication skills – Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience. This includes using proper grammar and punctuation. The ability to verbally convey information to others in a way they can understand. This includes the ability to tailor your communication style to a wide variety of individuals inside and outside of the business. The ability to listen and interpret what individuals are asking/telling you.

  • Confidentiality – The ability to maintain confidential client and employee information.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • WORKING RELATIONSHIPS: Reports to Manager. Works with employees and clients.
  • WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work is typically in controlled home & business environments and periodically outside. Controlled home & business environments includes light to moderate physical exercise with normal temperatures and normal conversations noise levels. Outside environment includes extreme temperatures (-20 to 110 degrees F), in ice, snow, rain, sun, high humidity, dust, dirt, etc.
  • PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The position will require fine-finger dexterity, long periods of standing, & repetitive motion. It will also require some talking, listening, standing, walking (ability to walk over uneven terrain), reaching, pushing, pulling, driving and/or traveling, lifting up to 20 lbs., bending, stooping, squatting, lifting, twisting, balancing, and kneeling.
  • EQUIPMENT AND MACHINERY USED: The position will require the knowledge and use of vacuums and other cleaning equipment.
  • TRAVEL: The position requires the Cleaning Crew Member to travel to various client homes and businesses in Garden City, KS and surrounding areas.
