Systems Administrator III

Our client, a leading government agency in the public sector, is seeking a Systems Administrator III to join their team. As a Systems Administrator III, you will be part of the IT support department supporting the organization's infrastructure and security systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to system management, which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?

• Support and maintain Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Directory services such as Microsoft Active Directory, LDAP, DFS, and related replication and synchronization processes.
• Manage Group Policy, perform backup and restore operations, and oversee trust relationships within Active Directory environments.
• Configure and troubleshoot Directory technologies including partitions, schema, replicas, DNS, Certificate Services, Federation Services, and security policies.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure system security, integrity, and optimal performance.
• Assist in planning and implementing system upgrades and security enhancements.

What's Needed?

• Minimum of 5 years supporting IAM and Directory services such as Microsoft Active Directory, LDAP, DFS, and related replication and synchronization.
• Extensive knowledge of Group Policy, backup and restore procedures, trust relationships, and Active Directory sites and services.
• At least 3 years of experience with Directory technologies including partitions, schema, replicas, DNS, Certificate Services, Federation Services, and security policies.
• Current residency in Wisconsin; local candidates in Madison are preferred.
• Ability to work onsite 2-5 days per month; remote work is not available for this role.
