San Francisco, California, United States San Francisco Campus for Jewish Living Full time $90,000 - $120,000 per year
San Francisco Campus for Jewish Living

Nestled in San Francisco's Excelsior neighborhood on a nine-acre campus, the San Francisco Campus for Jewish Living (SFCJL) is a center of excellence in providing a continuum of care. This includes Frank Residences, offering luxurious assisted living and memory care services; and the Jewish Home and Rehabilitation Center (JHRC), featuring long-term skilled nursing, short-term rehabilitation, and an acute psychiatric unit specializing in mental health care for older adults over age 55.

Grounded in the Jewish values of dignity, compassion, and community, the San Francisco Campus for Jewish Living—fondly referred to in the past as "the Jewish Home"—was founded in 1871. Today, over 150 years later, it continues to build upon its legacy of enriching the lives of older adults.

What You'll Do as a Clinical Resource/Educator

As a Clinical Resource/Educator, you will play a vital role in improving the quality of care through education, training, and clinical excellence across the Jewish Home Rehabilitation Center's Post-Acute and Long-Term Care units. You will serve as a mentor and role model to nursing staff, fostering professional growth, ensuring compliance, and promoting best practices in patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and perform educational activities that enhance the competency and professional development of nursing staff, including orientation, in-service training, and ongoing education.

  • Assess, plan, design, implement, and evaluate educational programs based on identified learning needs, organizational goals, and regulatory requirements.

  • Provide clinical expertise and guidance to nursing teams to ensure safe, effective, and evidence-based care delivery.

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote compliance with federal and state regulations (CMS, Title 22) and organizational policies.

  • Develop and implement systems to monitor and increase staff competency, compliance, and adherence to standards of care.

  • Design educational offerings and simulations incorporating adult learning principles and evidence-based teaching methodologies.

  • Facilitate onboarding and mentorship for new nurses and certified nursing assistants (CNAs).

  • Deliver clinical education programs to support the adoption of new systems, documentation practices, and technology.

  • Promote professional growth through continuous learning, competency validation, and leadership development.

  • Serve as a resource for clinical problem-solving and critical thinking.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
