We are looking for a detail-oriented Wireman to build, wire, and assemble industrial control panels and related electrical equipment. You'll turn schematics into real-world power by routing wires, mounting components, dressing harnesses, and creating clean, reliable electrical systems.

Like a behind-the-scenes tech wizard, you make panels come alive.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings
  • Lay out and mount control components (relays, breakers, PLCs, transformers, VFDs, terminals, etc.)
  • Wire and terminate components inside electrical control panels and junction boxes
  • Crimp, strip, label, and route wires neatly to meet quality and code requirements
  • Perform point-to-point wiring using schematics and wire lists
  • Conduct basic continuity checks and assist with panel testing
  • Maintain accurate build notes and follow specifications & UL wiring practices
  • Support panel assembly and mechanical build tasks as needed
  • Keep work area organized, follow safety procedures, and maintain tools/equipment

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1–3 years experience wiring electrical panels, equipment, machinery, or industrial systems
  • Ability to read schematics and follow wiring diagrams
  • Skilled with hand tools for electrical assembly (strippers, crimpers, torque drivers, drills)
  • Familiar with control wiring color codes, terminal blocks, and cable management
  • Able to work accurately with small components and tight spaces
  • Physically able to stand, bend, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in a shop environment

Preferred Skills

  • Experience wiring PLC panels, MCCs, or automation equipment
  • Knowledge of UL508A panel standards (nice to have)
  • Familiarity with VFDs, motor starters, relays, and low-voltage control circuits
  • Ability to perform basic panel testing/troubleshooting with meter tools
  • Previous work in industrial manufacturing, utilities, or automation settings
