Job Title: Director / Senior Director of Sales Operations – SaaS

Location: Hybrid – Long Beach, CA (In-office Tuesday–Thursday; Remote Monday & Friday)

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy & Planning

  • Lead the direct sales organization with goal setting, performance management, and operational oversight.
  • Develop and execute SaaS sales strategies to scale revenue, improve efficiency, and ensure delivery excellence.
  • Partner with executive leadership to define sales targets and revenue goals.
  • Drive territory planning, pipeline management, forecasting, and KPI reporting.
  • Mentor and develop high-performing leaders and teams, fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration.

Operations & Process Optimization

  • Streamline sales processes, policies, and systems to maximize efficiency and productivity.
  • Implement and optimize sales enablement tools, including Salesforce CRM.
  • Standardize reporting and dashboards using SaaS best practices to improve adoption and data-driven decision-making.
  • Establish a robust sales operations framework to monitor and improve sales effectiveness.

Revenue & Performance Management

  • Support the development and assignment of sales targets while monitoring performance metrics.
  • Track win rates, deal cycles, and churn; recommend adjustments to improve sales effectiveness.
  • Implement best practices in deal structuring, resource allocation, and sales processes.
  • Provide regular business insights and reporting to executive leadership.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Collaborate with Finance, Marketing, Product, and Professional Services teams to align business strategies with revenue goals.
  • Ensure smooth handoffs from sales to post-sales teams to optimize customer onboarding and satisfaction.
  • Provide input on the design and administration of sales incentive compensation plans.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in sales operations or sales leadership in a SaaS organization.
  • 10+ years of experience in direct and channel partner sales in SaaS.
  • Proven track record of leading SaaS sales organizations with measurable revenue and delivery growth.
  • Deep expertise in SaaS sales operations, including forecasting, pipeline analysis, and sales enablement.
  • Strong financial and business acumen with the ability to model, analyze, and communicate complex data.
  • Hands-on experience with CRM and analytics systems; Salesforce and Power BI preferred.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, influencing, and executive-level presentation skills.

Nice to Have:

  • Direct sales experience in SaaS.
  • Experience selling to industries such as Government, Insurance, Education, or Financial Services.
