Job Title: Director / Senior Director of Sales Operations – SaaS
Location: Hybrid – Long Beach, CA (In-office Tuesday–Thursday; Remote Monday & Friday)
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy & Planning
- Lead the direct sales organization with goal setting, performance management, and operational oversight.
- Develop and execute SaaS sales strategies to scale revenue, improve efficiency, and ensure delivery excellence.
- Partner with executive leadership to define sales targets and revenue goals.
- Drive territory planning, pipeline management, forecasting, and KPI reporting.
- Mentor and develop high-performing leaders and teams, fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration.
Operations & Process Optimization
- Streamline sales processes, policies, and systems to maximize efficiency and productivity.
- Implement and optimize sales enablement tools, including Salesforce CRM.
- Standardize reporting and dashboards using SaaS best practices to improve adoption and data-driven decision-making.
- Establish a robust sales operations framework to monitor and improve sales effectiveness.
Revenue & Performance Management
- Support the development and assignment of sales targets while monitoring performance metrics.
- Track win rates, deal cycles, and churn; recommend adjustments to improve sales effectiveness.
- Implement best practices in deal structuring, resource allocation, and sales processes.
- Provide regular business insights and reporting to executive leadership.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Collaborate with Finance, Marketing, Product, and Professional Services teams to align business strategies with revenue goals.
- Ensure smooth handoffs from sales to post-sales teams to optimize customer onboarding and satisfaction.
- Provide input on the design and administration of sales incentive compensation plans.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (preferred).
- 10+ years of experience in sales operations or sales leadership in a SaaS organization.
- 10+ years of experience in direct and channel partner sales in SaaS.
- Proven track record of leading SaaS sales organizations with measurable revenue and delivery growth.
- Deep expertise in SaaS sales operations, including forecasting, pipeline analysis, and sales enablement.
- Strong financial and business acumen with the ability to model, analyze, and communicate complex data.
- Hands-on experience with CRM and analytics systems; Salesforce and Power BI preferred.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, influencing, and executive-level presentation skills.
Nice to Have:
- Direct sales experience in SaaS.
- Experience selling to industries such as Government, Insurance, Education, or Financial Services.
