We are currently looking for a PRN Behavioral Health Recreational Therapist to join our team. As our Therapist, you will assist patients in regaining or developing their highest functional level considering their impairments. Utilizes professional training to provide appropriate treatment to the patient and their families. In conjunction with multidisciplinary team assesses patient's condition, formulates and implements individualized treatment plan. Provides and coordinates therapeutic recreation programming. Your duties and responsibilities may include:

• You will perform evaluations and provide personalized therapeutic recreational programs for both Inpatient Behavioral Health and PHP to restore, remediate or rehabilitate a patient's physical, mental and emotional well-being.
• You will participate in rounding and proactively respond to patient needs to improve patient outcomes and positively impact overall patient experience.
• You will document patient activities and progress, monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of treatment and modify it as necessary to improve treatment outcomes.

What qualifications will you need:

• Bachelor's Degree in Therapeutic Recreation or related field
• CTRS ( (Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist) certification is required (or obtained within 6 month of hire date)
• One year experience working in therapeutic recreation programs preferred
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) required within 60 days of hire in Behavioral Health Unit
• Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills; ability to read/comprehend written instructions; ability to follow verbal instructions; PC skills.
