Job Summary
- The Perinatal Education/Family Programs Instructor is responsible for:
- Safety of all customers.
- Participating in all IRMC mandatory opportunities.
- Assuring evidence based educational programs.
- Participating in performance improvement projects.
- Completing Assigned Dept. Projects/Tasks.
- Assisting with Dept. Budget.
- Attending Department meetings.
- Participating in scheduled/assigned community events.
- Work cooperatively with all members of the Perinatal Educational Team.
- Assist with staff in-services.
Job Specification
- Minimum Education Required: Graduate of a Nursing Program, Licensed Healthcare Program or Bachelor Degree in Health Related Field
- Minimum Experience Required: two years or more of teaching childbirth or maternal child education preferred or two years of practical experience in maternal/child or women's health nursing.
Licensure/Certification Required
- Must be BLS certified required (or obtain within one month of hire).

- Organize effective teaching plans with appropriate teaching strategies.

- Communicate effectively at many different cultural levels.
