Grant Focus: Participant outcomes, employment placement, and retention

Job Summary

The Career Coach / Employment Navigator provides individualized career guidance and employment support to program participants. This grant-funded, part-time role focuses on helping individuals overcome barriers to employment and successfully secure and retain jobs.

Key Responsibilities

Career Coaching & Case Management

  • Conduct one-on-one career assessments, goal setting, and individualized employment planning.
  • Provide job search assistance, including:
  • Job applications
  • Resume refinement support (non-instructional)
  • Online job profile setup
  • Support participants in developing soft skills such as professionalism, teamwork, and adaptability.

Employment & Placement Services

  • Conduct mock interviews and provide feedback.
  • Connect participants to job opportunities, apprenticeships, internships, and community resources.
  • Maintain relationships with employers and workforce partners to support placements.

Documentation & Grant Compliance

  • Maintain accurate participant case notes, progress tracking, and outcome documentation.
  • Prepare required grant reports and performance data.
  • Ensure compliance with grant requirements, workforce policies, and funding guidelines (e.g., WIOA, if applicable).

Qualifications (Condensed)

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in workforce development, social work, human services, or related field
  • Experience in career coaching, case management, or employment services
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and documentation skills
  • Experience working with individuals facing employment barriers preferred

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $ $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
