Job Summary
The Sales Representative is the face of the Company, within the medical community. The Sales Representative is responsible for, (i) Building relationships with Ophthalmologist and Optometrist, (ii) Territory growth within a defined geographic region, (iii) Product line expansion with existing accounts as well as staff training and education.
Responsibilities:
- The Sales Representative develops and services accounts through networking within the surgical community, identifying sales opportunities, initiating contact, making regular phone and direct in-person visits
- Our focus is to develop long-term relationships, while expanding our existing customer base
- This is a multi-specialty role that networks robustly with all ophthalmic physicians and surgeons, including clinics, surgery centers, refractive centers, and hospitals where ophthalmic procedures are performed
- This position requires intelligence, flexibility, and initiative to Strategically access the territory and create a resourceful outreach approach
- Disciplines may include (i) working from a home office, (ii) communication with Corporate, (iii) connecting with buying groups, Practices, and surgical facilities, (iv) comfortable in the surgical environment for training and observation, (v) knowledge of OR surgical workflow and sterile field, (vi) ability to navigate the ASC environment to perform product evaluations, (vii) out of town participation in trade shows, (viii) offering product in-service, (ix) development of sales within territory geography, and (x) update customer profiles and maintain the sales lead pipeline within CRM

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Develop a deep understanding and confidence with the depth of Over-the-Counter Dry Eye products and Punctal Occlusion
- Keep abreast of the vision care industry, treatments and trends
- Exceptional customer service, meaningful communication and savvy presentation skills, which includes self-awareness, active listening and insight
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, comfortable taking initiative, and confident to communicate respectfully with practices
- Understanding the clinical environment and business acumen to guide thoughtful conversations
- Ability to learn from each interaction for continuous improvement
Experience/Training/Education
- Minimum BA/BS Degree/or business-related experience
- 5+ years of successful experience working in Outside Sales, medical sales preferred
- Experience in ophthalmic industry experience strongly desired
- Proficient computer skills working with Word, PowerPoint, Excel and CRM
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90, $120,000.00 per year
