Position Overview:

Our team is currently looking for a Design Engineer for a client in the Motorsports Industry.

Responsibilities & Essential Duties:

  • Responsible for component design/drawing support including 3D and 2D design of automotive components, test cells e or electrification design work.
  • Design tasks will be for wide range of vehicle relevant projects including pinnacle and commercial programs.
  • CAD software 3D Experience CATIA V6 a plus.

Requirements:

  • BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or possess permanent residency
  • 5 years of experience in 2D and 3D software modelling in automotive industry with Preliminary design preparation ( gathering information before designing )
  • Design activities ( Concept design)
  • Evaluation and analysis
  • Component and assembly modeling ( Detail design)
  • Prototype or production manufacturing and quality coordination
  • Drawing preparation and release
  • Scheduling & reporting
  • Performs work with minimal supervision.
  • Manages time well.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and standard codes.
  • Knowledge of Personal Computers (MS Office software) Knowledge of mechanical and cost calculation process. Knowledge of raw material codes.
  • Strong Project Management skills.
  • Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills Ability to accurately apply engineering theories to design drawings. Ability to communicate effectively.

Working Condition:

  • Santa Clarita, California; on-site
  • Relocation offered.
  • One-year contract w/possible extension/direct hire
