Overview

New Bar & Restaurant on The River Walk Mexican Cuisine We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mixology and customer service, with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere in our establishment. This role requires experience in a fast-paced environment, particularly within fine dining or nightlife settings. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for crafting beverages, managing inventory, and ensuring an exceptional experience for our guests.

Duties

  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
  • Operate Aloha POS or Micros POS systems for order processing and payment transactions.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Provide excellent customer service by engaging with patrons, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
  • Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during peak hours.
  • Assist in inventory management by tracking supplies and placing orders as needed.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food service for banquets and catering events.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining proper cash handling procedures.
  • Stay informed about drink specials, menu items, and promotions to enhance sales opportunities.

Requirements

  • Previous bartending experience in a restaurant, nightclub, or catering environment is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Toast POS systems is highly desirable.
  • Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks during busy shifts.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to create a friendly atmosphere for guests.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and responsible alcohol serving guidelines.
  • Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
  • Experience in the food industry, including brewing knowledge or retail math skills, is a plus.
