Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental clinic. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control procedures, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with dental software systems such as Open Dental and experience in various dental specialties, including general dentistry and pediatric dentistry, will be highly valued.

Duties

  • Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
  • Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary materials are available.
  • Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
  • Utilize 3D scanners for creating digital impressions when applicable.
  • Maintain accurate patient records using Open Dental or similar dental software systems.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
  • Manage infection control protocols to maintain a safe clinical environment.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Dental Assistant preferred but not required; training will be provided.
  • Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures is essential.
  • Familiarity with Open Dental management software is a plus.
  • Understanding of infection control standards in a dental setting.
  • Experience in pediatric dentistry or general dentistry is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • A positive attitude, attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills are essential for success in this role.
  • Radiology Certification is required.
