SUMMARY
Perform routine administrative tasks in support to the Commercial Banking and Commercial Loan Group of the Bank. Assists Loan Officers with administration of existing loan portfolio and support Officers with due diligence for new credit request. Tasks include requesting credit and background inquiries (KYC, and BSA/AML), create new files and prepare loans files for processing. Loan processing responsibilities include assistance in preparing and issuing LOIs, preparing loan documentary processing checklist, collecting all items on the checklist, updating checklists, packaging file to submit to Credit Department for analysis, issuing derogatory explanation letters on credit reports, reviewing 4506T, performing Google searches, documenting file with Sunbiz, property searches, background web searches, updating Pipeline Reports, assisting officers with Reg. B responses, processing withdrawals, denials, submitting to Credit for adverse action reports, reconciling Pipeline, leads reports and Adverse Action Report with Credit, typing memos, inspection reports, responding to billing inquiries, etc.
JOB CLASSIFICATION INFO
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Assist the assigned lending officer with the daily management of loan portfolio.
Responsible for handling all customer request and issue resolutions ensuring quality customer service.
Assist customer with account or loan inquiries with regards to, updating customer information, reference letter, wires transfers, advance/draw request, pay-downs, loan payment statements, online banking among other.
Assist lender and portfolio manager with portfolio maintenance by obtaining financial statements, insurance policies, tax return, maturity report, past due report etc.
Responsible for all BSA matters for the assigned lending officer.
Support the Lending Team in achieving high asset quality and portfolio risk profile for strong customer relationship.
Support pre-and post-closing documentation workflows for credit and treasury products.
Coordinate with internal departments such as credit, operations, and compliance to ensure smooth loan processing.
Review, prepare, and process loan applications, disclosures and documentation for various lending products.
Ensure all loan files are complete, accurate, and compliant with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Coordinate with underwriters, credit analysts, and legal teams to facilitate loan closings.
Assist the Lending Officer with duties specific to their portfolio and projects as assigned.
Responsible for completing annual training program assigned.
Performs other functions and/or duties assigned.
EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- AA in Business, or Finance preferred
- Minimum of five (5) years of banking experience in Lending preferred
- High level of accuracy required
- Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills – both English and Spanish
- Strong interpersonal skills, able to communicate professionally and interact with individuals across the organization
- Strong computer technology skills and proficient with Microsoft applications
- Able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
- Good organizational skills and detail oriented
- Able to work independently and on diversified projects while meeting deadlines
- Work with integrity and ethically upholding organizational values
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
No supervisory duties.
BSA COMPLIANCE
Each employee is required to uphold the Bank's compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering policies and procedures. Specific functions in the Bank take into consideration the awareness of unusual or suspicious situations that are relevant to the banking division to which I will be assigned.
