Andover, Minnesota, United States Aras Corporation Full time

XPLM Solution Inc, a subsidiary of Aras Corp, is a leading provider of integration solutions for product development software. As an innovative company with an international focus, we help our customers connect data and processes across system boundaries. We develop tools to connect our customers' software, and we are looking for the best employees to develop our ideas further.

As the Lead Product Manager, you will be the strategic owner of XPLM's core portfolio of mechanical CAD connectors and visualization tools. You will act as a strategic partner to leadership, aligning our product roadmap with the Aras Innovator ecosystem. This is a "Player-Coach" role: you will personally drive the strategy for our Mechanical/3D products while building, managing, and mentoring a team of Product Managers.

Key Responsibilities:

PM Team Leadership & Management

  • Team Building: Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of Product Managers (focused on ECAD, ERP, and Platform).
  • Process Ownership: Establish standardized PM frameworks (Agile, PRDs, prioritization) to ensure consistent delivery across all XPLM integration products.
  • Roadmap Alignment: Partner with leadership to translate business goals into a multi-year roadmap and align closely with Aras on platform updates.

Mechanical CAD & 3D Product Ownership

  • Connector Strategy: Define how mechanical data (from SolidWorks, NX, CATIA, Creo) is mapped, transformed, and synchronized within Aras.
  • 3D Visualization: Own the roadmap for 3D viewable generation (JT, WebGL, etc.) and Digital Mock-Up (DMU) capabilities to enable cross-enterprise collaboration.
  • CAD-to-BOM Logic: Direct the logic for how complex 3D assembly structures are converted into actionable PLM Bills of Materials (BOMs).
  • Workspace Management: Oversee the user experience for "Check-in/Check-out" and Work-in-Progress (WIP) data handling to maximize designer productivity.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field;
  • 8+ years of experience in Product Management for B2B enterprise software, with at least 3 years in a leadership/lead role managing other PMs.
  • Deep knowledge of PLM (Aras Innovator preferred) and the "inner workings" of Mechanical CAD software (APIs, assembly structures, metadata).
  • Technical 3D Knowledge: Understanding of 3D geometry, tessellation, and the "Digital Twin" concept.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to coach PMs through technical trade-offs and manage complex stakeholder relationships.
