Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing front desk operations. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, billing, insurance and administrative processes, as well as proficiency in relevant software systems.

Duties

  • Greet patients warmly and manage the check-in and check-out processes.
  • Schedule and confirm appointments using Dentrix Ascend dental software.
  • Maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Handle medical collections and insurance verifications efficiently.
  • Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, appointments, and insurance coverage.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing correspondence.
  • Utilize ICD-10 coding for accurate record keeping and billing purposes.
  • Provide support to the dental team as needed to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or Dental Receptionist is required.
  • Familiarity with Dental software is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of dental terminology and medical administrative support practices.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Proficient in computerized systems for scheduling and record management.
  • Understanding of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy is essential.
