Position Overview

Park Place LTD is seeking a seasoned Automotive Service Advisor with a minimum of five (5) years of hands-on experience in automotive service advising. The ideal candidate will bring a strong customer-service mindset, technical understanding, and a track record of success in a high-performing independent automotive repair environment. Experience in both independent shops and dealerships is valuable, but candidates who have thrived in independent or specialty service centers are especially encouraged to apply.

This role requires exceptional communication, attention to detail, and the ability to manage complex service workflows while maintaining an elevated customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet customers with professionalism and provide a concierge-level service experience.
  • Listen to customer concerns, accurately document service requests and vehicle symptoms, and translate them clearly for technicians.
  • Present recommended services with transparent explanations of pricing, timelines, and repair rationale.
  • Act as the primary liaison between customers and technicians to ensure accurate, timely communication.
  • Monitor repair progress, provide updates, and communicate any changes to estimates or completion times. Obtain proper authorization before performing additional work.
  • Test drive vehicles before and/or after repairs when necessary to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Follow applicable warranty processes and documentation requirements.
  • Recommend appropriate maintenance, repairs, or service packages to enhance vehicle performance and longevity.
  • Coordinate loaner vehicles or shuttle transportation as needed.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate service records, repair orders, estimates, and invoices.
  • Process payments via cash, credit card, and other accepted methods.
  • Conduct follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction and proactively address any concerns.
  • Stay current with manufacturer service protocols, shop standards, and internal policies.
  • Meet or exceed performance benchmarks including hours per RO, ELR, and CSI goals.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Automotive Service Advisor or Service Writer.
  • Experience in a high-performing independent automotive shop strongly preferred.
  • Luxury, exotic, or specialty vehicle knowledge is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of automotive repair processes, terminology, and workflow.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a polished, client-focused approach.
  • Ability to multitask efficiently and remain organized in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency with dealership or shop management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A genuine passion for the automotive industry and delivering exceptional service experiences.
