About the Role

The Best and Brightest Initiative is seeking a Marketing and Recruitment Coordinator to help connect and recruit young professionals to growing Decatur, Alabama. The role blends creativity, strategy, and relationship-building to expand program awareness and drive participation across the state. This is a full-time, salaried position which provides the opportunity to help build Decatur's next-generation economy while supporting our current employers. As such, the person chosen for this role must live inside the city limits of Decatur.

What You'll Do

  • Lead social media, email, and digital marketing campaigns to grow awareness.
  • Manage advertising, outreach, and engagement across multiple platforms.
  • Build and expand relationships with media, employers, universities, and community partners to drive quality applications for the program.
  • Represent the program at career fairs and recruitment events statewide (4–5 times per year).
  • Track marketing budgets, ad performance, and campaign metrics.
  • Support content creation for newsletters, press releases, and partner updates.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and program growth initiatives.

What We're Looking For

  • 1–3 years of experience in marketing, communications, or recruitment.
  • Strong organizational, sales, and digital marketing skills.
  • Comfort with tools like Canva, Mailchimp, or Meta Business Suite.
  • Energetic, people-oriented, and passionate about growing opportunities in Alabama.
  • Ability to travel occasionally throughout the state.
