A/R / Collections Specialist

Manage customer receivables and collections for a portfolio of accounts.
   

Responsibilities:

•    Scan checks for daily deposit and apply cash receipts payments on accounts.

•    Post/apply credit memos for valid deductions and initiate deduction resolution on invalid or disputed deductions to obtain repayment.

•    Communicate with Sales Team to resolve open deduction/invoice balances when required.

•    Obtain Proof of Delivery on shortage claims from various freight companies.

•    Review receivable aging for skipped/past due invoices.

•    Reconcile/resolve payment discrepancies.

•    Responsible for collection calls, customer invoice/POD/statement copy requests, and Sales Team/Broker inquiries.

•    Maintain credit memo postings on liability trackers for accurate monthly accruals.

•    Provide support for audit requests.

•    Other special projects and tasks as required.

•    Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

•    Prefer 5+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable

•    Experience with wholesale business to large retail chains a big plus, 

•    Strong knowledge of chargebacks

•    Strong reporting skills

•    Strong time management skills

•    Attention to detail

•    Strong analytical

•    Problem-solving capabilities, strong verbal and written communication skills

•    Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously

•    Work effectively in a team environment and meet deadlines

•    Good at working independently and thinking critically

•    Oracle NetSuite experience preferred. 

•    Proficiency in Excel and Word required.
