We are working with a well-established, top-end law firm having a growing and dynamic litigation practice. The firm conducts a complex litigation and sophisticated business transactions practice in a broad range of industries on behalf of domestic and international clients through its California, Las Vegas, Seattle, New York, Paris, and Hong Kong offices. The firm is currently seeking an experienced litigation attorney (4+ yrs.), licensed in Washington State, to support its Seattle office on a contract basis. The hired attorney will litigate insurance and bad faith actions in Washington State and other jurisdictions, as well as provide a wide range of insurance coverage services to the firm's clients. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in all facets of litigation, including motion practice, discovery, alternative dispute resolution, briefing practice, and trial preparation. The position offers flexibility to work remotely in Washington State. The compensation will be $75/hr.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • JD with excellent academic credentials
  • Minimum of four years (4+ yrs.) of solid litigation experience
  • Demonstrated experience handling coverage matters and litigating bad faith and/or insurance related actions
  • Ability to handle breach of contract, bad faith, and all facets of insurance litigation from inception to trial, including conducting legal research, doing detailed analysis, engaging in legal writing, preparing pleadings and briefs, managing discovery, and conducting and defending depositions
  • Demonstrated experience providing liability analyses to clients and fashioning litigation strategies commensurate with the case
  • Experience with both state and federal court proceedings
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a timely and professional manner
  • Current Washington State Bar admission in good standing
