About the Role
CalcAir Employee Benefit Systems, Inc. seeks a highly skilled and motivated
Enrolled Actuary to join our Retirement Plan Services team. This role is designed to strengthen our customer support capabilities and contribute to the
development, implementation, and testing of software features that empower our clients in the small plan retirement market. The ideal candidate will have deep experience with combo plans (DB/DC) and defined contribution administration, and will collaborate closely with our actuarial, support, and development teams.
Some of the Tasks
Provide expert guidance on combo plan design, compliance, and administration.
Support customer inquiries and troubleshoot plan-specific issues with precision and clarity
Collaborate with software developers to propose and refine features that enhance plan administration tools
Participate in testing and validation of new software functionalities, ensuring actuarial accuracy and usability
Contribute to training materials and client education initiatives related to retirement plan features
Assist in interpreting regulatory changes and translating them into actionable system updates
Offer insights during product planning sessions to align actuarial needs with technical capabilities
About you
EA designation required, with current enrollment status
Minimum 3 years of experience in retirement plan administration, with a focus on combo plans including DC administration
Strong understanding of ERISA, IRS, and DOL regulations applicable to small retirement plans
Proven ability to communicate complex actuarial concepts to nonactuarial audiences
Experience working with retirement plan software platforms and contributing to feature development
Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with data analysis tools
Familiarity with our software is highly desirable
Prior experience in a client-facing support role
Exposure to software testing or QA processes
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

The estimated base salary range for this role in the United States is $80, $120,000.00 per year. For compliance with local legislation, and to provide greater transparency to applicants, we share salary ranges on all job postings regardless of the desired hiring location or whether the position is remote. The posted range is an estimate and reflects many factors which are subject to change. Final offer amounts may vary from the amounts listed above, based upon geographic location, candidate experience and expertise, and other relevant factorsOther Compensation (US Only):
