TBC integrates Trauma-Informed Care, Restorative Justice, and Racial Equity across 3 programs—Sole Train, TEEP, and TBC @ Ruth Batson Academy (RBA): Circle Keepers.
Our multi-year strategic plan aims to deepen our programmatic integration and expand healing-centered services. The Restorative Practices Manager will be essential to this evolution, leading initiatives that reflect our commitment to healing and youth development and leadership (YDL)
About the Role
In this position, you will facilitate and teach restorative and conflict resolution practices across the YDL pathway and at schools and organizations. This position will be responsible for developing new school and organization relationships. This position will work primarily at schools and partner organizations.
This role will focus on integrating therapeutic and mental health best practices, including group-based and peer-to-peer support models. This work will be embedded across all of TBC's programs, managing interns, supporting a culture of care, resilience, and connection. Ideal candidates will be grounded in racial equity and trauma-informed practice, with a deep belief in the healing power of community.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Program Management
- Partner with CPO and YDL Director to codify practices that center student voice, restorative methods, and communication skills.
- Maintain and grow partnerships with Boston Public Schools and partner organizations to integrate restorative and conflict resolution practices.
- Lead the Circle Keepers program, overseeing curriculum delivery, recruitment, enrollment, and coordination across TEEP, Sole Train and TBC @ RBA.
- Facilitate circles for youth, families, staff, and partner programs.
- Manage, train and develop 1-2 staff in addition to a cohort of interns.
Internal and Partner Events
- Co-manage and coordinate circle training for staff with the YDL Director.
- Plan and execute key engagement events, including TEEP Summer Training, orientations, Professional Developments, and Personal Learning Communities.
Evaluation and Reporting
- Track key performance indicators centered around restorative practices/ healing circles
- Align healing practices with school outcomes using diagnostics and evaluations.
- Support on-site problem-solving, curriculum development, and student support referrals.
- Administer diagnostics and evaluations to evaluate impact and guide improvements.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have 3 – 5+ years' experience in youth programs and or education.
- Preferred LMHC, LCSW or LICSW, and or authorized to practice independently.
- Expertise in developing new relationships and stewarding pre-existing relationships.
- Proven track record in facilitating restorative practices with measurable outcomes.
- Strong interpersonal, management, and communication writing skills; ability to engage diverse youth and adult audiences.
- Skilled in prioritizing under pressure and managing multiple projects.
- Knowledge of SEL, trauma-informed care, racial equity, and restorative practices
- Deep commitment to social justice and comfort discussing systemic racism
- High digital literacy across tools and platforms.
- Independent, resourceful, collaborative work style.
- Ability to work occasional evenings and specific weekends for events.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $67, $77,000.00 per year
