- Build strong relationships with stakeholders, including Loyalty, Cobrand, Global Engagement and all internal Marketing teams to gain clear understanding of stakeholder plans and priorities, and how initiatives support our brand, all with a keen focus on unifying our voice to the customer
- Act as a strategic thought leader, developing successful marketing plans and communication journeys that lay the foundation for customer engagement
- Work individually and with various teams to develop comprehensive marketing plans for company and organizational initiatives/launches by acting as the primary point of contact in Marketing
- Coach at least one direct report to develop strong marketing plans in support of our stakeholders' business objectives
- Champions the brand's tone of voice in all marketing assets, including copy and creative – will require some copywriting work with the support of other teams
- Project manage campaigns from start to finish and develop ongoing reports to deliver results for leadership
- Must be willing to travel for business when needed
Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in business/marketing/advertising
- 5+ years marketing or communications experience
- Project Management experience
Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
- Deep understanding of AAdvantage member and stakeholder needs/pain points
- People leadership experience
- Marketing/ad agency experience
- Copywriting experience
Skills, Licenses & Certifications
- Prior experience influencing cross functionally across many different business units and with all levels of stakeholders
- Creative, visual thinking skills with an ability to think "outside the box"
- Strong organization skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously under tight deadlines
- Excellent communication, presentation and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of the aviation industry and familiarity with American's stakeholder structure
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written with all levels within the organization
