Job DescriptionAs a Security Professional - Unarmed Hotel Patrol in Alexandria, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a hotel and resort location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure environment for guests and staff. Your presence and routine patrols will help to deter security-related incidents while you provide outstanding customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:
- Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities:
- Provide customer service to guests, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the hotel or resort location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and report any unusual activity.
- Document incidents, observations, and activities as required by site procedures and Allied Universal protocols.
- Assist with crowd control and/or guest management during events or busy periods within the hotel or resort.
- Communicate clearly with guests, staff, and local authorities as needed to support security-related operations at the location.

Minimum Requirements:
- Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
