Admissions Coordinator

GENERAL OVERVIEW:
This job at the school of nursing works with prospective and newly enrolled students in meeting admission and enrollment requirements. The incumbent is directly responsible for recruitment, admissions, admission testing, communication of acceptance and enrollment, and enrollment compliance. The incumbent works closely with the School of Nursing Director, Assistant Director, Financial Aid Team, and Registrar.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in communication with families from the inquiry stage through the application and assessment process to registration and enrollment. (35%)
- Maintain admission files and data in Campus Based System.(20%)
- Schedule student admission appointments, conduct tours and assessment of prospective candidates, assuring the involvement of all appropriate staff. (20%)
- Design and implement special admissions functions and presentaions on campus, e.g., Open Houses, information sessions, group visits and special recruitment activities.(10%)
- Evaluate completed applications for enrollment offers and acceptance to the Nursing Program. (10%)
- Coordinate with marketing communications team for preparing or updating admission materials, college publications and websites. (5%)
- Assist in the administration of student admission policy and procedure based on state and federal laws. (5%)
- Travel to college conferences, school fairs, and educational fairs as appropriate.(5%)
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum
- Experience in an academic admissions relation position in Higher Education
- Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
- Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
- Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
Preferred
- Associate's Degree
- Experience with Campus Based System Operations
Strong leadership, analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
