Position: Medical Receptionist - Lab

Location: Fall River, MA

Job Type: Full Time – 40 hrs

Job Description:

The Lab Secretary/Receptionist will attend to patients on the phone and in person. Coordinate and organize appointments to facilitate the smooth running of the Central Lab, and support delivery of quality patient care. The candidate must possess strong interpersonal skills, organizational skills, time management, and customer service experience.

Essential Duties and Qualifications:

· Greet patients

· Answer incoming calls and deal with inquiries

· Schedule and Register patients according to established protocols

· Verifies and updates patient demographic information for accuracy

· Will access LMR and ECW as needed to perform work required

· Schedule appointments as needed and transmit laboratory orders from ECW to the LIS

· Complete other clerical duties as assigned

· Ensure patient areas are well maintained, neat and clean

· Safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality

Minimum Requirements and Skills:

· Knowledge of scheduling, telephone skills, typing, organization. time management, customer service, and verbal communication

· Knowledge of ECW, or computer and relevant software applications

· Knowledge of general administrative and clerical procedures
