Summary
We are seeking a Direct Support Caregiver to join our team in providing exceptional care to individuals with IDD. Located in the heart of our community, this role is vital in helping individuals achieve their personal goals and live fulfilling lives. You will play a key role in implementing personalized care plans that align with our mission of innovation and equity in healthcare.
Responsibilities
As a Direct Support Caregiver, you will:
- Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with daily living activities (ADLs).
- Observe and monitor patients' health status, reporting any changes to the care team.
- Assist individuals in developing skills for greater independence.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to implement individualized support plans.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for clients.
- Facilitate community engagement and participation in activities.
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided.
- Uphold the highest standards of dignity, respect, and confidentiality.
QualificationsWe are looking for candidates who possess:
- Proven experience in caregiving or direct support roles, especially with individuals with IDD.
- Strong skills in patient observation and first aid certification.
- Ability to assist with ADLs effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate demeanor.
- Familiarity with medication administration is preferred.
- A commitment to promoting independence and dignity for all clients.
