Overview
The
CDE Solutions Architect
is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and secure application architectures that support enterprise-wide data and technology strategies. This role requires deep technical expertise across modern data platforms, cloud infrastructure, interoperability standards, and emerging technologies. The architect will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive alignment between business objectives and technical solutions, while guiding modernization and transformation efforts across complex IT ecosystems.
Type: Contract, remote
Schedule: Regular business hours M-F
Duration: 6+ months, possibility to convert to a direct hire / full time
Pay: $70 - $75/hr, paid weekly, benefits eligible
CDE Solutions Architect Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering and architecture (technical lead, solution, or enterprise architect roles).
- Client requirement: candidate must be current Green Card holder or US Citizen, no exceptions, no sponsorship, and no C2C. Do not apply if you do not meet their requirement.
- Strong understanding of non-functional requirements including SLA management, performance optimization, real-time and multi-threaded design.
- Proven expertise in
FHIR
and
HL7
interoperability standards. - 5+ years of full-stack development experience with
Java
,
Python
,
Spring Boot
, and front-end frameworks such as
Angular
or
JavaScript
. - Advanced proficiency with databases including
SQL
,
NoSQL
,
MongoDB
, and
Redis
. - 5+ years of experience designing and deploying solutions on
GCP
,
AWS
, or other cloud platforms. - Strong knowledge of microservices architecture and
API
design principles. - Hands-on experience with
DevOps
and containerization tools such as
Kubernetes
,
Jenkins
,
Docker
,
Git
, and
Kafka
. - Familiarity with
AI/ML
technologies, particularly
Generative AI
and
LLMs
. - Proven leadership in guiding technical teams and managing stakeholder expectations.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Preferred: Experience with interoperability enterprise solutions, cloud certifications (Salesforce, GCP, Azure, AWS), and large-scale legacy-to-modern migrations.
CDE Solutions Architect Duties
- Define and execute architectural strategies aligned with enterprise data and application goals.
- Lead the design, development, and governance of architectural frameworks and solutions ensuring scalability, performance, and compliance with standards.
- Collaborate across business, data, and IT teams to understand needs and translate them into robust architectural designs.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption strategies to enhance system capability and modernization efforts.
- Conduct architecture and design reviews, identifying gaps and proposing solutions that meet business and technical requirements.
- Guide and mentor architects and engineers, promoting best practices, knowledge sharing, and skill development.
- Drive interoperability and modernization initiatives using FHIR, APIs, and microservice-based frameworks within healthcare systems.
- Participate actively in architecture governance forums and innovation programs to advance digital transformation within the organization.
