Small Accounting Firm in University City, San Diego has an immediate opening for a Mid-Senior accountant with a minimum 4-years public accounting experience.

Salary range $80,000 – 95,000/year

Job Description

Duties include:

· Preparation of monthly compiled financial statements – bank reconciliations, adjusting journal entries, balance sheet, income statement, statement of cash flows, general ledger analysis, year-end closing, etc…

· Preparation of advanced individual tax returns – reporting on stock options, real estate, multi state, 1031 exchange, quarterly estimated tax payments, etc…

· Preparation of corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns – year-end planning, preparation of depreciation schedules, basis reconciliation, etc…

· Review of individual, partnership, corporate and trust tax returns

· Preparation of tax projections – entities and individuals

· Tax Research

· Handle special projects as needed

Qualifications

The ideal candidate would possess:

· Bachelor's degree, preferably with an emphasis in Accounting

· Minimum of 5 years of recent experience in public accounting

· Proficiency and experience with Lacerte tax software

· Proficiency and experience with Quickbooks including QBO

· Advanced proficiency with Excel

· Able to work independently

· Able to multi-task and prioritize deadline driven projects

· Solid understanding of accounting and tax theory and practices

· Highly organized with a strong attention to detail

· Availability for additional hours February through April and during extension deadlines

Salary and Benefits

· $80,000 – $95,000. Compensation commensurate with experience and ability.
