Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care, assisting with various dental procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental clinic. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Bonus pay offered for Saturday hours.
Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, including chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Prepare and maintain instruments, equipment, and the treatment area following infection control protocols and aseptic techniques.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) while adhering to safety standards.
- Record patient medical history, vital signs, and maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Assist with scheduling appointments and managing the front desk as needed.
- Stay updated on advancements in dental technology, including 3D scanning and medical imaging techniques.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a dental clinic setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and general dentistry procedures is essential.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate clearly with patients and team members.
