PRIMARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Package bakery products into boxes according to specified packaging requirements.
- Operate packing machinery such as conveyors, bagging machines, sealing machines, and labeling equipment according to standard operating procedures (SOP).
- Ensure accurate labeling, weight, and packaging integrity to maintain product quality and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Inspect products during the packaging process for defects, irregularities, or contamination and remove any non-conforming items from the packaging line.
- Monitor product appearance, texture, and consistency to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following proper sanitation procedures to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Report any safety hazards, equipment malfunctions, or quality issues to the supervisor or designated personnel promptly.
- Work collaboratively with other members of the packing team, including machine operators, quality control inspectors, and maintenance staff, to achieve targets and quality objectives.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers to coordinate tasks, address concerns, and ensure smooth workflow on the packing line.
- Arrange racks with the product at the beginning of the corresponding packing line.
QUALIFICATION/SKILLSET:
- Should be familiar with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP, and basic OSHA safety regulations.
- Ability to follow and execute instructions.
- Ability to use various machines.
Must be able to work independently or as part of a team.
Ability to follow instructions and operate packing equipment safely and efficiently.
- Attention to detail and the ability to perform repetitive tasks with accuracy.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to stand for extended periods, lift 20-50 pounds, and perform manual tasks as required.
- Basic math skills to count and record inventory accurately.
- Willingness to work overtime and flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
